Here is a nicely put together Australian Locost. They have pretty strict rules on building your own car (or airplane for that matter), much stricter than the rules in the US. Plus, it sounds like his wife was pretty finicky as well (poor guy).

I also thought it was quite brave that he posted pictures of his car after wrecking it, not sure I would be able to do that...
