The Baby Lakes has to be the cutest airplane ever designed. There's one at the Evergreen air museum, it sits in the shadow of the Spruce Goose. I was totally bowled over by it's cuteness when I saw it.

One of the guys in my EAA chapter is talking of building one, he looked at a Velocity kit, but that would have set him back too much money so now he's thinking of a Baby Lakes. Apparantly an owner of a Baby Lakes had come to a meeting, and they were all impressed when he flew off of how fast it climbed.

I've never heard anything bad about this design.
