This cruising diary starts out slow, and the writing isn't so great, but once the author finds his stride it's a wonderful piece of writing, and a rather harrowing tail.

The author and his girlfriend sail halfway across the world in a 21 foot sailboat, in 1973, with no outboard motor, no electrics, and at one point no sextant.
