If you like your cruising sailboat to be of traditional design, simple but hell for stout construction, and designed for cruising but not racing, George Buehler is your man.

He also has some very popular motor yacht designs as well, but I like sailboats more. I know this is senseless, but I would always be afraid of running out of diesel in the middle of the Pacific or something.

Buehler writes very good books on boatbuilding as well, look forward to a review for one of his books in the near future.

Oh, and if I were to build one of his boats, it would probably be the Juno. Plus, the Juno is in one of his books, so you don't have to buy the plans.
