By the Banks of the Willamette...

Cecilia and I where walking along the Willamette and watching boats go by, which of course got me thinking of boat building. I thought of designing a rowboat that would allow 2 people to row at once, but not be as skinny as a rowing shell (so it wouldn't be so tippy). There are plenty of boats for 1 person to do something like this, but not for 2 at the same time.
She thought it was romantic that I always think of taking her along when I fantasize about designing and building something. This kind of positive reinforcement is probably a bad idea when it comes to me and complicated projects.
Here's a little build diary about making a Bolger roar, which is a nice little rowboat similar to what I'm thinking about. Except for 1 rower, not 2 of course.
