Fly Baby Plans!
Date: Sat, November 5, 2005
This news is a little old, but still good -- Fly Baby plans are available again. This is a very well regarded homebuilt, and it originally came out of the northwest (although I think it's a design out of Seattle, so nothing is perfect I guess...). I think David Bowers ran out of plans sets, and has print new ones, because there's talk about them being put into a lay flat binder.
I wish the Pietenpol plans all came in a binder -- the larger format is great, but if I spread them out on the floor, the cat attacks them. No, really! actually, she attacks any sort of airplane plans, I have tooth marks on my Teenie Two plans as well! She doesn't attack any of my other papers, just airplane plans.
The best thing about the Fly Baby is that it has Ron Wanttaja's website, which has to be the best website on homebuilts and sport flying around.

Dave:
Hehe, I'll teach you to fly when I'm done with my plane. But if you crash it, it'll be a tossup whether I kill you, or the plane does... :)
Jim:
I'll let you teach me if you're certified... certifiable doesn't count.
Dave:
Well, if by certified you mean certifiable, and by teach you mean "hand over control of the joystick for a minute or two while anxiously waiting to take back control if things go wrong", then yes. ;)

Not to worry... he walked away with a broken wrist but I decided I didn't want him to teach me to fly. I think ol' Sam was a bit meshugginah.
