Local Man Builds Speakers, Website.

For the first article on BuildDiary.net I decided to post a build diary that I wrote about a year ago. It documents the building of a pair of stereo speakers that a friend and I put together over a couple months.
We had such a good time, and the diary came out so well, it inspired me to come up with the idea for this website.
The speakers were designed by Dave Brown, a really nice guy who allows free use of his designs. Dave is a member of a community of speaker builders and designers at PartsExpress.com's website.
The dB616tl is a transmission line speaker design, which is rather unusual. TL's are tuned in a special way that allows very natural (and low frequency) bass output to be attained. When I built them I was still living in an apartment and I could never turn them up loud enough to really enjoy them, but now that I have moved into a house I can once again really enjoy my music collection.
