I promise I am not a shill for Parts Express, but I can't help but link to the latest Darren Kuzma speaker design when it comes out on their site. He designs speakers by coming up with an interesting application, and then designs something for that application. And the beauty of the whole thing, is that since he works for Parts Express, he can pick over their inventory to find the best drivers for what he wants to do. Or at least the ones with the best margins (but I doubt that, he seams like an honest guy...).

The latest design is his ultimate party speaker. No tiny little Bose-alike boxes here... Looks like fun (and loud!)
