New Set of Public Domain Airplane Plans.
Date:   Mon, February 13, 2006
Richard Lamb has recently made the Texas Parasol plans available in the public domain. It's similar to the Pietenpol or the Ace, except made out of Aluminum (and a single seater...). Quite a few have been made, and there's a fairly popular Yahoo Egroup for it.

Take a look!

Jim: I had to read your message a bit more closely to find the plans, but, sure enough, there they are in the third link.

Too bad it's only a single seater. Two seats and I'd say you had your plane!

Keep us informed with your progress.

Dave: Oh, I'm started on the Pietenpol; got the wing rib jig done, made a rib -- now I'm making parts so that I can quickly put the ribs together when I get to that stage. My software is almost finished, and once it's done except for the last of the debugging, I'll have a website with pictures and stuff.

I figure the website is part of the building process, so I'm not slacking... :)

Anyone want to be a beta tester for my project logging software? It's pretty modern and featureful. Expense tracking (only if you want to, otherwise you can't see it.), time tracking (ditto), categories, a web based interface (including uploading, picture management...)
