Nifty Amateur Radio Projects.
Date: Wed, April 25, 2007
Jim will probably be all over this one (if he hasn't been there already), this page has some very interesting schematics and plans for building your own radio transmitters and receivers. The author's particularly interested in inexpensive designs and simple circuits -- he even details how to form your own inductor coils for a bandpass filter using a McDonalds straw. Neat stuff!
Oh, and many apologies for not updating the site as often as I used to -- I'm not going away, but I have been really busy at work lately. I implemented a moving map display for my current employer -- and we are entering the trade show season (Sun 'n Fun just finished, and Oshkosh is coming up...)

Jim: Hadn't been there before but have now! I wish he had more information on determining the inductance of the coils. I need to wind a 1 microhenry coil for a project I'm working on and I don't want to do the math. :D
Dave: What?!? That's scandalous... (for those who don't know, Jim has a degree in physics.)
