Pete Bowers, the designer of the Fly Baby, used to write an article on various aviation topics every 2 weeks for General Aviation News (or The Flyer, I've seen both names), over 700 columns in all! An archive can be found here. There is a lot of interest here for homebuilders and designers; Bowers talks a lot about features of older airplanes that would work on a homebuilt. Worth reading!

Oh, and Pete Bowers is also the author of Unconventional Aircraft, which is a very interesting read as well.
