Ever read one of those activity books for boys from the last turn of the century? They were filled with wonderfully dangerous projects that not even my wife would let *me* do. Build a Guillotine! Well, I made up the Guillotine part, but you get the idea.

This company sells reprints of classic 'x for boys' books.

They also publish books on welding, sheet metal work, engines (making them of course...), forging... Very very cool.

Oh, and notice the new category -- Resources, for links that can't be categorized. I will probably also use this category for announcements and "were do I put this?" kinds of stuff.

Nick: Thoes books are cool. I specifically like the book 'fuel from water'. But then, I have always been a fan of hydrogen powered stuff (If it's good enough for the space shuttle, it's good enough for me!). Ok, that was an overdramatisization, as I believe the original vacume tubes from it's original computer are still there....
Dave: One of the books actually tells you how to make your own vacuum tubes and transistors. I think I might get that for Cecilia's birthday as a gag gift. She can take it to work and flabbergast all the old analog EE's she works with.

Should be a lot of fun.
