Paia DIY instrument/effects kits.
Date: Wed, March 16, 2005
Paia is a company that has been making diy kits for musicians since 1967. They sell kits for guitar effects, analog synthesizers, a theremin, electronic drum controllers...
Several years ago I bought one of the first Theremax's that they sold. I ordered when they first announced the kit, and had to wait until they had stock to ship out. I had a marvelous time putting it together and getting it to work. It's a neat piece of equipment. I've played my theremin in front of quite a few people, and they have all enjoyed it.
Maybe someday I will get one of Bob Moog's theremin kits, they are even cooler, but naturally more expensive... Plus, I guess it's not really a kit either (it comes mostly assembled). Oh well.
