Back when I was choosing a speaker design to build, I did a whole bunch of research, and decided that I would build something by one of two designers; Dave Brown, and Wayne Jaeschke.

I chose Dave Brown's dB616tl because I found it aesthetically pleasing and Dave is a really nice guy. Wayne Jaeschke also seems like a really nice guy, although I haven't had any chance to correspond with him, and his designs have the utmost respect from people who have built them.

If I were to build a new pair of mains now, I would give his Veritas design a real look. Of course, I have more money now than I did then, so I shouldn't second guess myself. I love my speakers.
