The Best Resource for Building a Tadpole Trike
Date:   Thu, October 13, 2005
This page has been around for a really long time, I've been checking it for updates since 1999 or so. If you want to build a two-in-front trike (the bicycle equivalent of a Morgan trike -- gee you wonder why I'm interested in them?), this is definately the place to go. Timothy Smith has built enough trikes to have very good opinions on steering geometry, suspension, welding, etc. Heck, any sort of bicycle building project would benefit from a few hours of looking around on this website.

He specializes in scrounging old bikes from wherever he can find them and then converting them into something new and interesting.

Oh, and even if you're not terribly interested in bicycles, you must look at the page about the Penny Farthing he built for his son. Remember the website with the scaled down Sherman Tank that a father built for his son? The totally maniacal look on that 6 year old's face? Same sort of thing. Oh, except in this case, there are movies!
