The Cri-Cri

Want to build something really unusual?
I mean, really unusual?
How about the world's smallest twin engined aircraft? There is quite a bit of information available on the Cri-Cri, if you want to read up on it's history (and that of it's french designer Michael Colomban), take a look here. Information on plans can be found on this page.
Oh, and when you become enamored with the jet powered version (and you will...), engines can be found here.

Jim:
Cute plane but I'd be afraid I'd break it! Is there anything that lists the maximum height and weight of the pilot?
Jim:
I answered one of my own questions. The maximum load of this aircraft is 202.4 lbs. With 5 gallons of fuel, this means I have to lose about 70 lbs. in order to fly in one!
As far as height goes, my guess is that a 6 footer like me would get a crick in my neck.
Dave:
Aha, you want a BK-1 then. Almost as small, and certainly not as Gallic.
The only thing that would scare me about the Cri-Cri is the gas tank that's pretty much custom fitted to your crotch.
