I could totally get behind this project -- building a Viking longboat. I can just imagine it...

at 4am, we quietly slip our boat into Lake Oswego, me and my Viking shipmates with grim determined visages... We row across the lake, past the McMansions and the latte sipping denizens. The boat runs aground near downtown, we pull it up a little on to the bank so it doesn't float away. Next, there would be the taking of the Danegeld, perhaps some slaves would be picked up... You know, the usual.
