Say you build bicycles, or tube and rag airplanes, or cars with spaceframes, or motorcycles, or... anything else built out of cylinders joined at odd angles. What you need is an easy way to determine exactly how to cut your tubes so that they will match perfectly. You can do this by eye, but that's not nearly anal retentive enough for many.
