The Porsche 550 Spyder is my favorite car, and this replica was for sale... Very
tempting (and probably unaffordably expensive as well), but I want to build my own someday.
The pictures don't really do it
justice; the 550 has such pretty lines. I should have taken more, but at the time my
brain was in overload looking at all the cars. We tried to go back later, but it was
gone.
There was also a genuine 550 like car, but maybe even a little smaller. I'm not sure
what it was, but it was a terror in it's racing class (more pictures of that later).
I'm not sure exactly what it is though, anyone know? Too bad it didn't finish it's race.

There were several 356's that were in excellent condition. On most of the cars were
the hood (errr, trunk?) was open, the owners put tennis balls on the intakes for the
carburators, which I thought was a marvellous idea, but I didn't take a picture
(remember, overload mode...)

Later on we went to the inside paddock to look at all the car club cars that were parked
there. The Porsche club had some nice cars on show, including the latest incarnation of
the 911 Targa, which I thought was pretty cool. Outwardly they preserve the lines of the
car, but the roof folds back in a rather sneaky fashion.

And lastly, my favorite Porsche from the event, the 911 in full Rally regalia. Love
the lights. Everything is better with lots of rally lights! :)
