The true bread and butter of Oshkosh; everything else is just a production plane.

I have pledged to someday have my own plane amongst the throng, and damnit it'll happen! Even if I have to trailer the thing to Brodhead, put the wings on there, then fly in to Oshkosh, take the wings off, and trailer it back to Oregon.

There is no way I could go to Oshkosh and not take more pictures of the Johnson Wax Sikorsky. Simply amazingly pretty, cool, wow, etc...

The obvious love and joy that went into recreating this 30's flying boat is obvious in every inch.

Heath Parasol, N7123

This pretty little Heath Parasol was part of the EAA Milestones of Homebuilding exhibit. I'm really getting in to the black and red color schemes. Probably not enough to change my plans for the Pietenpol, but it's a nice color scheme.

That's a Continental A40 engine btw, the precursor for all modern opposed aircraft engines.

Another plane from the Milestones of Homebuilding, a KR-1. This one was built by Richard Shirley and is purported to be very fast.

Ever see a Christen Eagle that didn't have this paint scheme?

I didn't think so.

Wow... That big Menasco inline engine is awesome. Plus, it holds the world's record for speed while flying upside down. It says so right there on the plane.
