Definately one of my 'short list' of designs I wanted to build, I really like the Davis DA-2A, it doesn't help that Budd Davisson has nothing bad to say about it in his pilot's report.

The true bread and butter of Oshkosh; everything else is just a production plane.
I have pledged to someday have my own plane amongst the throng, and damnit it'll happen! Even if I have to trailer the thing to Brodhead, put the wings on there, then fly in to Oshkosh, take the wings off, and trailer it back to Oregon.

Another inexpensive homebuilt design -- and this one is an ultralight. There is a guy who just joined my EAA chapter who is building one.

This is a Star Lite (or Starlite?). Whatever it is, it's a pretty little plane.
From what I can gather, this is the precursor to the Pulsar series of homebuilts. it's a pretty little single seater, flying with a Rotax 447.
Nobody is selling kits for this one as far as I can tell.
