The true bread and butter of Oshkosh; everything else is just a production plane.

I have pledged to someday have my own plane amongst the throng, and damnit it'll happen! Even if I have to trailer the thing to Brodhead, put the wings on there, then fly in to Oshkosh, take the wings off, and trailer it back to Oregon.

Davis DA-2A
August 3, 2006

Definately one of my 'short list' of designs I wanted to build, I really like the Davis DA-2A, it doesn't help that Budd Davisson has nothing bad to say about it in his pilot's report.

The owner has a blog here.

Questair Venture, N94Y

I like eggs, I think they are pretty.

I took these pictures while we took a turn through the race plane section of the homebuilt parking. Very fast looking airplane.

Fisher Avenger
August 3, 2006

Dan Koster's grandfather built a low wing ultralight that looked like a traditional design. Unfortunately nobody in his family knows what kind of plane it was. It could have been a Fisher Avenger, or a MiniMax, or?

Regardless, this is a pretty plane that my pictures didn't really do justice to.

Legal Eagle Ultralight

Another inexpensive homebuilt design -- and this one is an ultralight. There is a guy who just joined my EAA chapter who is building one.

Details can be found on the Legal Eagle Website.

Star Lite N112SL
August 3, 2006

This is a Star Lite (or Starlite?). Whatever it is, it's a pretty little plane.

From what I can gather, this is the precursor to the Pulsar series of homebuilts. it's a pretty little single seater, flying with a Rotax 447.

Nobody is selling kits for this one as far as I can tell.
