The true bread and butter of Oshkosh; everything else is just a production plane.

I have pledged to someday have my own plane amongst the throng, and damnit it'll happen! Even if I have to trailer the thing to Brodhead, put the wings on there, then fly in to Oshkosh, take the wings off, and trailer it back to Oregon.

We were walking past this plane, and I said "that's either a Jodel, or a Thorpe T-18 derivative." I couldn't tell if the outer wing panels had a higher angle of incidence or not.

It's a Jodel, I looked it up on the intarweb. I love the little logo.

Oh, and this one is built from Falconar Avia plans.

So, I'm getting pretty punch drunk entering in all these pictures. I usually look at the large set of pictures, find the next plane to write about, then create an entry with a title including the model of plane. My brain is pretty fuddled at this point, so I look, and I see "Red Plane". Anybody with a modicum of knowledge in homebuilts at least knows that this is a Dick Van Grunsven design, and with a moments perusing, you would know it's an RV-3.

Nope, red plane. Man. I need something to keep me sharp...

Pretty little all wood raceplane.

I like the faired in tail light.

Trying to get a little artistic here, forgot to take a picture of the tail so I would know the N number...

Now of course; with the obsessive data gathering megaplex that is the internet, I simply went to google and typed in "cozy race 54", and blamo, there's the N number, about 2 results down.

And then, a few minutes later I realized I had another picture of this plane, just later on, so there's one with the N number anyway...

Totally professional looking cockpit in this one.
