The assembly manual is broken down not only into generic parts and frequency specific parts, but it's also set up for each type of part... resistors first, then capacitors, etc. Between this and the checklist, it made it easy to keep track of where I was and what the next step would be.

The next step is to install the generic fixed value capacitors. These little buggers can be hard to read so make sure you have a good magnifier and good lighting (although the latter is a given when doing electronics work).

Semiconductors, etc.

The semiconductors are among the last things to install. This was the one thing that really bugged me about this kit. If you'll notice, one of the ICs is surrounded by electrolytic capacitors. This made it hard to align the pins of the IC but eventually I worked it out.

The manual spells out very clearly the importance of making sure all the semiconductors have the correct orientation.

There are also some inductors and a few other pieces to install including four jumpers made from the cut off leads from other parts.
